Members of the Quarter: Antonio Manzano & Triston Young

Antonio Manzano

graduate of the United States Military Academy (West Point) with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA candidate at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. 

After West Point, Antonio served over 5 years as an officer in the Army to include a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan. In 2014, he transitioned out of the military and joined BASF.

Antonio is currently a Senior Project Engineer at the Freeport, TX site. Additionally, he is the national treasurer for BASF’s African American employment resource group. In his free time, Antoni enjoys working out, watching sports, spending time with my family, and supporting the culture with my brothers – Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated.

 

Triston Young  

Triston is a Project Engineer with a demonstrated history in the global Engineering-Procurement-Construction industry. Skilled in estimating heavy construction projects, management of upgrades to existing facilities, project delivery methods, engineering management, quality control management, engineering services during construction, and construction management services.

Professional experiences in successfully executing within various functions to deliver design-build and traditional projects. Demonstrated ability in building and effectively managing vital client, subcontractor and vendor relationships. Triston holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.

He often dedicates his time to mentoring engineering students and youth in the community and has provided volunteer service for events nationwide from the Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service to the USA Science and Engineering Festival. Triston is always available to speak with prospective students about engineering and has devoted countless hours to outreach, promoting education and creating programs to encorage elementary, middle and high school students to pursue STEM degrees.

His personal philosophy is to “Dress Well, Live Well, and Learn Every Day!”
