Martins Amune is the Founder of Red Carpet Investments, a real estate investment group and short term rental management company. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Before transitioning to real estate investing full time, Martins spent 5 years working as an Asset Integrity Engineer at PinnacleART and a Project Manager at Dow Chemical where he developed inspection packages and managed large scale improvement projects for various chemical plants in Houston and Mississippi. In 2019 he launched his first Rental unit and now Martins owns, operates and manages multiple short term rental units across Houston and Dallas.
Martins’ units have been featured in Houstonia magazine as a Top 5 Rental Homes Perfect for a Staycation. He was also featured in the docu-series “By Way Of Houston” by local filmmaker Loyce Gayo in collaboration with the Houston Arts Alliance and the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Arts. The docu-series highlights the experiences of the African diaspora and African immigrants as artists and entrepreneurs. Martins’ involvement in NSBE leadership began in 2015 as the Programs Chair of the University of Texas NSBE Chapter. In 2017 he became a member of the Houston Professionals Chapter.
He is currently serving his 3rd year on the NSBE Executive Board as the Finance Chair for NSBE Houston Professionals and leads/manages all aspects of corporate relations, including fundraising, and solicitation. Martins has helped foster a growing relationship with the Houston Independent School District (HISD) that has led to one of NSBE HP’s flagship programs, Fresh Start, being included in the HISD STEM month initiative in November 2021!
